Funding Conditions
The following conditions strictly apply to project proposals for the Partners for Water tender procedure:
- The activity takes place or is focused on one or more of the 43 focus countries and deals with one or more of the 5 focus themes (see Countries & Themes);
- The activity serves a proven need of the receiving party in the focus country;
- Participation of two or more (complementary) organisations in the Dutch water sector;
- The activity cannot be funded through other Dutch international funding arrangements.
Furthermore, the proposal will be judged based on the following qualitative criteria:
- The project contributes to strengthening the international position of the Dutch water sector;
- The activity makes a positive contribution to solutions for the world’s water problems and to the UN Millennium Development Goal for water and sanitation;
- The activity enhances long-lasting collaboration within the Dutch water sector;
- The project makes use of the unique qualities of the Dutch water sector;
- The project leads to societal and economical spin-offs;
- The activity easies funding of follow-up activities;
- The activity is innovative in nature.
